On April 24th, the sky was dark but the school was still alight and alive with energy thanks to STM's Spring Concert, a night which showcases the talents of the Vocal Ensemble, Jazz Band and Knght rMore concert band.
The concert began with a word from Mr. Gagnier, followed by the Knight rMore’s performance including the Simpsons theme song, a Beatles medley, an upbeat version of Mack the Knife, and many more!
The spotlight then turned to the Vocal Ensemble, who first performed the song "The Water is High" along with Knight rMore. Other songs followed, such as "Skyfall" by Adele and the classic "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough", dedicated to STM grad Matt Sagodi, a valued member of the STM community who, sadly, passed away earlier this year.
The concert ran from 7-9 p.m. and had a great turnout of about 100 people. The three ensembles practiced all year in preparation for this event.
“It is truly a pleasure to see everyone so excited and enjoying themselves,” said a smiling spectator.
The ensembles would like to thank each and every member who participated, as well as the spectators who came out to support the ensembles. The members would also like to thank the teachers who have taught and coached them throughout the year.
