The week before the March break was very exciting. Not only were students were preparing for their great vacations, but there was also an amazing presentation on a variety of topics that affect teens, organized by the Safe Schools Committee.
To go hand-in-hand with the anti-bullying aspect of the presentation, the Healthy Action Team, in conjunction with the Prefects, sold thumb rings that read <3 NOT H8 (love not hate). These rings are a constant reminder to text or tweet with love rather than hate, to be kind to one another, and to help eliminate cyber bullying.
This campaign was called MORE Sweet Tweets. The Healthy Action Team’s hope for this campaign was to “start with a small positive change and soon minimize bullying.”
The Healthy Action Team hopes to do more with this campaign and “carry on its legacy.”
Thank you to all students who participated and to the Healthy Action Team for this great event!
