Knight Runners is a group of STM students who participate in charity events or walks and raise money and awareness for these causes. Knight Runners participated in the Terry Fox Run on September 16th. This annual event raises money for cancer research to help find a cure.
Julia, a Knight Runner in her fourth year, said the event was “a fun experience”. Matt, also in his fourth year, said that “the run was a good event, lots of people showed up and it was a nice day”. It’s a great cause to participate in.
Here are some reasons why members joined Knight Runners: Julia told me that she likes to “run in [her] spare time” and she wanted to “challenge [herself]”. Matt, however,“wanted to be involved” and “decided to go for a club and knight runners appealed to [him]”. So if you have an interest in running or want to help deserving charities, Knight Runners is for you.
See Ms. Galli or Ms. Calabrese (you'll find them in the Guidance Dept.) for more information about joining Knight Runners. Hope to see you at the next event!
